What's New at Chicago's Uptown Recording Studio

Pro Tools HD10 and memory upgrades.  Staying state of the art ahead of the pack, will always be our motto...

For most studios all software updates come with a learning curve...  Not at Uptown, Chief Engineer Rob Ruccia, has had the pleasure of being a beta tester for both Pro Tools 9 and 10, in fact his name resides in the credits.  6 Months before Avid had released the software, Rob was helping shape it into what it is.  Working at Uptown on these new versions with people who know how to use them, give us the edge over those studios stuck in the older versions, while learning the newer ones. We now are running the newest Pro Tools HD10 and HD9 Software featuring HEAT which gives your mixes the big mixing board sound with out the big price of that board.

Our monster Mac Pro Tower Computers, are loaded up now with over 10GB of ram.  This will ensure your session runs smoothly and virtually crashless.

Video Clients, your project can look and sound amazing even faster than ever thought.  We've upgraded to the newest Final Cut Studio bundle. With 2 20" LCD and a 42" Plasma HDTV you can be sure your project will look amazing.  Add even more stunning quality by mixing your audio on our Genelec 5.1 system featured in Studio West.

Congrats to Uptown Recording client Levi Kreis for winning the Tony Award for his role as Jerry Lee Lewis, in the Chicago gone Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet, check out levikreis.com for his latest album features songs that were recorded and mixed here.

Recently we've been getting more recording enthusiasts using Uptown to mix their home studio projects. No matter what the system you are using (pro tools, nuendo, sonar etc...) Let our expert engineers, excellent mixing environments, and massive Pro Tools HD systems bring the most out of your tracks. Give us a call to talk about how we can take your tracks to the next level.
